bridal gowns
after being gone for so many donkey years, im back! :)
researching on bridal gowns now, and planning to do my prewedding shots here in USA. hopefully all goes well.
here are some designs that caught my eye. the more affordable ones of course~ ;p
from Justin Alexander:
love the flower details.
not the usual scoop/sweetheart neckline. i like it.
from Jasmine Bridal:
coloured waistband to add a twist.
not sure if the drop waist might make me look shorter.
again, the coloured waistband and flower details.
so...which is your favourite? :)

the ROM aftermath
well, the day is officially over and done with, and boy am i glad there weren't any major hiccups. except for the fact that my dress was a tad too loose (i think i overdid on the crash dieting during the last 2 days) and it was dropping every once in a while. so for those of you who saw me tugging at my dress - yes, it was too loose.
then i was dragged all over the place for pictures, questions, videos etc. the most hectic 3 hours of my life i think. well, i need to get used to it. i think the actual day will be ten times worse.
yu hsin was real quick to upload all some gorgeous preview pics on his blog for our viewing pleasure. really lovely! cant wait to see the rest of them!
a big THANK YOU to anyone and everyone that helped in any way, big or small. your presence meant alot to the both of us.

my insignificant weight loss
i kept thinking i didnt lose any weight at all cos i still look at the mirror and shake my head. my chubbyness is everywhere. but im so glad i was wrong!!!
went for my final fitting with jessica over the weekend and the first thing she said when she saw me was "omg! how come you look so thin! lost so much weight!" i thought she was just being her nice usual self, trying to make me feel better. or was it maybe cos she didnt see me for over a month.
but when i tried on my dress, i realised i actually DID lose weight! now the sides of my dress has to be tightened. the last leg of the race - maintain! no leeway for any weight gain. dress collection on 11 feb and no time to do anymore alteration.
the date is getting nearer...

kinda overdue, but better late than never! :)
251208 Christmas Day
Pan Pacific
was specially instructed by dar to meet him directly at pan pac that day. was kinda lamenting the fact i had to travel there all by myself. bleah!
he picked me up from the marina square. i almost got lost walking to pan pac from cityhall. *rolls eyes* anyway, he was wearing the biggest grin on his face. i knew something was up already by then. just didnt know what.
i was led up to room 1916. very nice room number! he suddenly covered my eyes from behind with his hands. i instantly went into autopilot mode and nearly elbowed him in the tummy! HELLO, squashed my pretty lashes with his hands lohhhhh. *LOL* he had to make do with me shutting my eyes while he led me into the room. didnt really trust me but he had no choice. hee!
we entered the room, and i smelt.... RUBBER. (eew)
he asked me "do you smell that?"
i said "yah, funny smell."
i didnt get to see the look on his face after i said that.
he positioned me somewhere in front of the bed. finally i was allowed to open my eyes. then, i dont know why, i suddenly chickened. i was afraid of seeing what was before me. not sure why. but to sum up the ten thousand thoughts going through my head, i was afraid i would let loose the tear ducts.
i opened my eyes to nothing i imagined. i took a few seconds to take everything in. amidst the shock, i still acted as per my usual self and all i could say was "orh." i was speechless.
i opened my eyes to this.
tons of balloons! hence the rubber smell.
apparently this was what i was supposed to smell - the rose petals. =.=

he knelt down and presented me with this.
even said the words "will you marry me?" *melts*
overflowing with saga seeds... hidden inside was...
i had to say yes...
after that i took my own sweet time to admire his efforts, and take in everything in detail. indeed, it was lots of sweat and blood put into this lovely surprise for me.

specially done up in purple and red rose petals, just cos i love purple!

and then i realised, every single one of those 100 balloons had words specially printed on them. "MARRY ME NIKKY" *sighs*

i agree.
spent the rest of the afternoon lazing around and giving him lotsa TLC, hugs and kisses. he was so tired from making all the arrangements since early in the morning! watched 'Yes Man' at GV marina square later on. my darling was so tired he actually fell asleep in the cinema. hehe.
bought dinner back to the hotel and watched HBO all night.
and it was time to clear the lovely petals. if not where to sleep!
we had fun rolling around in sweet smelling petals.
100 balloons in my hand. 幸福!
by night time, the balloons started losing helium and floated down one after another.
還真的是短暫的美麗.
